This week at MAC we share our holiday fun, which included friends, family and of course, range time. Mia talks about a special women's shoot where she helps teach. On day one she helped educate women about AR-style rifles, how to use open sites and assisted in teaching long-range shooting with the help of a .50 caliber BMG. The next day she was impressed as she helped with 3-D archery and a 71-year-old woman who is doing it all.

Lea shares some family fun competition at the shotgun range. Learn about Annie Oakley and how you can use the game to learn focus at the range. She also brought a friend along this holiday. The family and friends share an impressive story about sighting in at the rifle range.

Lea shares an update about her coaching of a friend who will be shooting in the National High School Rodeo competition. 023 - Independence Day Grilling, Bear Break-Ins, and More - MAC Outdoors Podcast

Mia Anstine and Lea Leggitt are reading some local Colorado news about bear break-ins and recounting their personal experiences.

 

Pagosa Springs, Co: In episode 023 of the MAC Outdoors Podcast with Mia and Lea the duo is catching up after the 4th of July weekend. Break-ins were a highlight in the news in Colorado. 

A bear who made headlines weeks ago appears in the mainstream again. Previously he'd followed a woman into her garage as she filmed him outside her car door. One can only guess where he's turned up now. Tune in as Mia and Lea share the story, not only of this bear but also of another in their corner of the state, who's said to "have the right to bear arms."

She’s recounting her experience in testing the Winchester model 101 Sporting 12 gauge shotgun. Plus she loves to teach new shooters and had the opportunity to give an anti-gunner a positive first experience at the shotgun range.

In episode 021 of the MAC Outdoors Podcast with Mia and Lea the duo divulges secret high country destinations, discuss grizzly attacks, and the news of the delisting of the bears in the Yellowstone area.

If you’ve never been to Southwest Colorado you definitely need to add it to your vacation destination list. The area is prolific with hiking, camping, hunting, and wildlife viewing opportunities. Among the possibilities are elk, mule deer, big horn sheep, mountain goats, and black bears.

Speaking of bears, Mia and Lea discuss the recent release of the Todd Orr double bear attack video. Todd Orr survives the attack and comes to us with his story.
